On 15 January, the European Commission launched the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework (EHEIF). This initiative aims to address the fragmentation of digital education policies and practices in the EU.
For European higher education, this means increased mobility of students and staff, better recognition of qualifications and periods of study, access to better educational services, support for innovation and diversity, as well as efficiency and cost savings. The EHEIF is also designed to create a seamless, student-centric ecosystem that benefits learners, teachers and institutions alike.
