The year 2024 marks the centenary of the Swiss Federation of University Women (SVA/ASFDU), President of the University Women of Europe Anne Bergheim-Negre, attended this milestone even . On this occasion, it was commemorated Nelly Schreiber-Favre, the first female lawyer from French-speaking Switzerland. She was the Founder of the Association genevoise des femmes diplômees des universités (AGFDU) in 1923 and subsequently founder and first president of the SVA in 1924 in Berne.

Celebration took place in Berne on 31 August. In the opening of the conference on Artificial Intelligence held at the University of Berne, President of the SVA, Ursula Bolli-Schaffner held a lecture on the theme of the impact of AI in 6 different domains: dance, music, communication, medicine, art, democracy and digital application, followed by a round table facilitated by: Monica Chirita Leménager, Chantal Wright, Stavroula Mougiakakou, Marie-France Rafael, Judith Sild, Isabelle Collet.

In the evening a Gala dinner was organised in the magnificent “Empire” room of the Restaurant Zum Ausserer Stand, considered as the most beautiful baroque room in Switzerland. Coraline Parmentier, member of the Geneva section interpreted on the piano pieces by women composers.
