University Women of Europe (UWE) and Albanian Association of University Women (AAUW) are pleased to invite you to the Conference & AGM event

We are pleased to invite you to the next Annual General Meeting of University Women of Europe on the 27-29 September in Tirana & Durres, Albania. This year the AGM will be combined with a one day conference, the theme is: “Overcoming gender bias in artificial intelligence, Development & Implementation”.

The challenge  between artificial intelligence and gender equality is a focal point in numerous international reports from 2019. The main issue lies in algorithms, stereotypes, prejudices and, discrimination. This conference in Tirana aims to tackle the dangers of AI biases for gender equality. What steps can we take to guarantee that AI’s decisions are fair? Can AI be leveraged to enhance gender equality? What is the significance of gender diversity in the realm of technology and artificial intelligence within the local community?

We are looking forward to meeting you, exchanging ideas and continuing to be engaged in the work towards an improvement of women’s lives in Europe and all over the world.
